2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Data you provide

Through the waitlist and newsletter sign-up forms on namikids.app we collect your email address, provided voluntarily, together with the page you signed up from (for example a blog article), so we can tell which content interests readers.

No other personal data is collected via the sign-up forms. Joining the waitlist or the newsletter is optional and does not affect your access to the website or its content.

Some forms collect further data that you choose to enter besides your email:

• Digital parent test: your answers to the questionnaire, the resulting profile and, if filled in, the free-text answer about the ideal app, to generate the report you asked for;
• Coding at school: email and, optionally, the teacher's name, to save the class register (progress and lesson notes) online. Pupils' names stay on the teacher's device only and are never sent to our servers;
• Games unlock: your email only, with which you also subscribe to the newsletter.

We do not collect children's data through the website: the forms are aimed at parents and teachers.

2.2 Browsing and usage data (analytics)

If you consent to analytics cookies in the banner, the site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) to understand how it is used. This may include pages viewed, visit duration, where you came from (referrer, UTM parameters), clicks on buttons and links (for example to Google Play), device type, browser, operating system, language, approximate location derived from your IP address, and anonymous identifiers stored in the cookies listed in our Cookie Policy.

Microsoft Clarity also produces anonymous session recordings (mouse movement, scrolling, clicks) and heatmaps. Form fields, including your email address, are excluded from recordings. This information is not used to identify you.

If you decline consent, Clarity is not loaded and Google Analytics stores no cookies on your device; Google may receive only aggregated technical signals without persistent identifiers.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

The newsletter and promotional messages are sent only to people who agreed to receive them: by subscribing to the newsletter, by unlocking the games with their email (the screen says so) or by ticking the box in the test. Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time. Addresses collected for other purposes (for example the availability notice for another language or the Coding register) are not used for promotional messages without consent.

You give consent when you enter your email and submit the sign-up form. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7).

4. How We Collect and Process Data

Data is collected through the sign-up forms on namikids.app via a secure HTTPS connection. It is then transmitted to a subscriber management system and stored solely for the purposes stated above.

5. Who Receives Your Data

Data collected through the website is shared only with:

• Google LLC — acting as data processor, via Google Apps Script and Google Sheets, used to manage the waitlist and newsletter subscribers.
• Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — acting as data processor, for Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent).
• Microsoft Corporation — acting as data processor, for Microsoft Clarity (only with your consent).

No other third party has access to the email addresses collected. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. International Data Transfers

Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation are based in the United States. Transfers are carried out in compliance with Arts. 45 and 46 GDPR, through the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

Email addresses are retained until you withdraw your consent, and in any case for a maximum of 24 months from the date of sign-up.

After that period, or upon withdrawal of consent, data is permanently deleted unless retention is required by law or for the defence of legal rights.

Browsing data collected through Google Analytics 4 is kept for no more than 14 months. Microsoft Clarity session recordings are kept for a limited period, typically 30 days. You can change or withdraw your analytics consent at any time from the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the site footer.

8. Your Rights

Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you may exercise the following rights at any time by writing to the data controller at the address above:

1. Access (Art. 15) — obtain confirmation of processing and a copy of your data;
2. Rectification (Art. 16) — correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
3. Erasure (Art. 17) — request deletion of your personal data;
4. Restriction (Art. 18) — restrict processing in certain circumstances;
5. Data portability (Art. 20) — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
6. Objection (Art. 21) — object to processing on legitimate grounds;

The data controller will respond without undue delay and within 30 days.

This privacy policy may be updated at any time. The revised version will be published on this page with the date of the last revision. We recommend checking this page periodically.
